The global fanbase of "Captain America" has people who are more devoted to the bromance of Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans) and Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) than the Rogers-Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) couple. They entertain the thought that Rogers' true affection falls on Barnes and not on Carter.

During the publicity tours of the latest "Captain America: Civil War," actors Evans and Stan seemed to have fun throwing a fuel on the Rogers-Barnes theories. The film directors, Joe and Anthony Russo likewise made sure they do not dampen the fan theory that Rogers and Barnes are more than friends.

The Russo Bros took part in an interview in December for the "Civil War" movie in China with Sina Entertainment. They want the people to interpret the relationship themselves. "People have interpreted that relationship all kinds of ways," Joe said.

Moviegoers argue about the relationship between the two. He added, "We will never define it as filmmakers, explicitly, but however people want to interpret it they can interpret it."

Meanwhile, Stan grinned at the thought of the many ways "Captain America" fans imagined the relationship between his character and Captain America. "That's really nice," he told The Daily Beast when the latter showed him pieces of fan art, in which his character curled up in bed with a Captain America Teddy Bear.

Another art had Rogers and Barnes kissing while the other had the two sleeping peacefully together. "People come to the movies with all kinds of things," the 33-year-old actor said.

In Marvel's most recent installment of "The Avengers" franchise, Rogers smooched Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) while Barnes simply had an approving look. That romantic scene with Captain America and Peggy Carter's niece was deemed unnecessary in the flow of the story, according to Vanity Fair.

In the new Marvel film, the relationship between Rogers and Barnes becomes the major part of the story with Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) as the main antagonist. Here is a video clip where stars Anthony Mackie, Stan and Evans were interviewed in a press tour.
