Ryan Gosling appeared in public television for the first time after he and partner Eva Mendes, 42, welcomed their second child. He guested on Jimmy Kimmel's night show on May 9, Monday to discuss about his upcoming movie "Nice Guys."

Before anything else however, the star made a confession about a slight wardrobe malfunction. The suit he was wearing was too tight. "I didn't try this suit on before I came out and I realize that it's so tight," he said.

He smilingly admitted his attire was wildly inappropriate. He added, "I feel like I'm going steady with these pants."

The 35-year-old actor requested the camera man to focus on his face, and not on his tight pants. Kimmel jested the ratings of the show may peak because of his thighs.

"I'm sorry. This is a classy joint," he replied. Gosling stretched his legs, saying he could not feel his calves.

The night show went on for Gosling's new movie and the actor suggested he would act out a scene instead of watching a video clip of the film. He did so with an audience member named Karen. The actor climbed over furniture, lunged to the ground and Karen straddled his back, acting like she was breaking his arm.

Kimmel congratulated the audience member for being pregnant, given how close she was with the actor. The night was full of laughs and Gosling charm, but the father of two did not mention much about his new bundle of joy at home.

The actor maybe tight-lipped about the new member of his family but he smiled when his daughter was mentioned by a reporter, according to ET. After a short interview with him at the premiere of his new film at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California on May 10, Tuesday, the reporter congratulated the actor for his new baby and received a "thank you"  with a smile. Gosling likewise shared the joys of fatherhood during an interview with "Nice Guys" co-star Russell Crowe, for the next issue of People.

The Canadian actor and Mendes have two daughters: 20-month old Esmeralda Amada Gosling and Amada Lee who was born on April 29 in Santa Monica. The couple kept both pregnancies a secret for several months as Mendes just wanted family and close friends to know.
