According to Polygon, the cover art of the two games feature a proud lion-type Pokemon, and a bat-type Pokemon. There has been no information on what type of creatures these are, but the publication hypothesize that these are legendary Pokemons that trainers will have to capture in their respective games.

According to the game's official website, Rowlet, one of the starter Pokemons, is a grass-and-flying type owl, has a category of a grass quill Pokemon, and the ability called Overgrow. The second one is the Litten, which is a fire-type kitten, and has the abilities called Blaze and Ember. The third starter Pokemon is called Popplio, which is a Sea Lion Pokemon, a water type, and has the abilities like Torrent and Water Gun.

The game company has also revealed a small portion of the game's map, which is a part of a new area of the city, and it takes up a camera position. They have also introduced a new interesting character called Kukui, and it seems to have the same position as what Professor Oak did in the past, which was to introduce the players to the world of the game, and its new features.

The two Pokemon games will be released on Nov. 18 in the United States and Nov. 23 in the United Kingdom for the Nintendo 3DS. These games are the biggest releases for the game franchise in 2016, which is its 20th anniversary year.
