Gotham fans will have a lot to look forward to as the show concludes its second season. With old characters expected to return for the end of "Gotham" Season 2, there is no wonder why there has been a lot of events going on in the city.

According to Den of Geek, fans will be seeing a familiar face in the next couple of "Gotham" Season 2 episodes. The report states that Basil Karlo, known to most as Clayface, will be returning to the show. Fans may be treated to Basil Karlo, as the show is yet to confirm if Clayface's origin story would be playing out in the show in the future.

According to Carter Matt, there are possible new conflicts now that Clayface is making his way back to the city of Gotham. One being the numerous villains that are already a threat to both Bruce Wayne, played by David Mazouz, and Jim Gordon, played by Ben McKenzie.

The latest episode of "Gotham" Season 2 ended with a cliffhanger, as Selina, played by Camren Bicondova, finally got into Arkham to help her friend Bridgit, played by Michelle Vientimilla, escape from the facility; however, Selina's plan is foiled when she discovers that Bridgit has already been brainwashed inside of Arkham.

Reports suggest that another character is set to return in the next episode of "Gotham" Season 2, titled "A Legion of Horribles," which also sparks the return of Jada Pinkett-Smith as Fish Mooney. There is little news yet on what is to come in the episode, but a recent trailer for "Gotham" Season 2 episode 21 shows Hugo Strange, played by BD Wong, waking up Mooney.

It is said that "Gotham" Season 2 episode 21 will feature Bruce Wayne and Alfred working together again to save someone in distress, who happens to be Selina. Wayne feels somewhat responsible for Selina's current predicament but he may just be headed for a trap of his own.

The new trailer also shows a change in Hugo Strange's story. With Strange turning every bad guy in Gotham into monsters, fans have yet to figure out his reason behind his madness. The next episode could reveal the story behind that or the person behind it.

"Gotham" Season 2 episode 21, titled "A Legion of Horribles," airs on May 16, Monday on FOX.
