On May 5, SM Entertainment told Korean news outlet OSEN that the Taiwanese-American singer received an offer to star in the drama and stressed that they are positively considering it. If she accepts the offer, she will play the personal assistant of the abrasive but lovable CEO Kim Eun Gab aka Jay Jung (Cho Jin Woong).

"Entourage" will be Amber's first drama since making a debut in the entertainment industry, as a member of the girl group f(x) in September 2009. Amber also debuted as a solo artist in February 2015 with the release of her EP called "Beautiful."

The upcoming drama series is a remake of the American comedy-drama TV series that aired on HBO from July 18, 2004 up to Sept. 11, 2011. The Korean drama is poised to highlight the realities of a top actor and his entourage of friends, who were exploring their way through the showbiz industry.

Park Jung Min will play Lee Ho Jin, the best friend, and manager of the top actor Cha Young Bi (Seo Kang Joon). Further, "Running Man" star Lee Kwang Soo is up to play Cha's cousin, Cha Joon, a struggling actor who is desperate for more work.

The other cast includes newcomer Kim Hye In as Seo Hee and Lee Dong Hwi as Geobook (turtle), the other best friend from the old neighborhood who grew up with the star and the manager. While the drama aims to remain loyal to the original show, the remake will seemingly incorporate several Korean elements that will make it more relatable to the local audiences, Soompi reported.

The show will reportedly begin filming on May 23 in South Korea. It is set to bow at some point in October, as it takes over tvN's Fridays-Saturdays 11:30 PM (KST) time slot and is also set to air in mainland China simultaneously.
