"Girl Meets World" season 3 is expected to premiere on Disney Channel next month, and it's possible that one of the show's central storylines would have to do with Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya's (Sabrina Carpenter) friendship.

In the previous season, Riley and Maya ended up liking the same guy. At that time, there were rumors that the guy would choose between Riley and Maya. However, the executive producer of the show decided to change this storyline at the last minute because the love triangle aspect isn't the main focus of the sitcom.

On the other hand, now that Riley and Maya are in high school, they will be facing new challenges ahead. Some of these things can have a huge impact on their friendship.

According to MNR Daily, it's possible that Riley and Maya's friendship will temporarily fall apart especially in the upcoming episode where the latter will be sharing a huge secret that she's been keeping to herself.

Meanwhile, there are some reports that the "Girl Meets World" lead star Blanchard isn't very much comfortable with walking on the red carpet.

According to Parent Herald, Blanchard took the time to share her thoughts about her recent red carpet sighting via her Instagram account.

"Ok I don't usually post carpet photos bc the carpet is a really uncomfortable scary place 4 me but here is a photo that I don't look stressed in that captures the beautiful work @_hairbylaurie, @amystrozzi, @chrishoran20 did last night City Year is a rlly cool organization that helps The Kids graduate from high school and further their dreams so yeah!" she captioned the photo.

In other news, Blanchard also received a slew of mixed reactions from her young fans when she said that she doesn't want to identify her preference as either for men or women. With this, fans started speculating that Blanchard came out of the closet as a young bisexual or lesbian woman.

However, the actress clarified that she just didn't want to be confined in a box. When asked to comment about her sexuality, she refused to do so.

"Girl Meets World" season 3, episode 1 will premiere on Disney Channel on June 3.
