Daredevils and thrill-seekers that want to record their activities can use the LG Action CAM LTE to even livestream their videos on YouTube if they want to.

The new action camera from LG does not need a partner phone or even a Wi-Fi connection. It uses the onboard 4G model to stream or upload video directly to the Internet.

For those who are familiar with GoPro cameras, the LG Action CAM LTE looks highly similar to the GoPro Hero4 Session camera. However, the latter has more features compared to the former.

One such feature is that it has built-in GPS and motion sensors to track more details such as geo-tagging and other metrics, Engadget reported. Users can livestream from the camera with no problem provided that they have stable LTE signals and generous data plans.

If there is no LTE coverage available, users can still use the onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Users can also just save their videos on microSD cards.

With regards to the video taking capabilities, the LG Action CAM LTE has considerable specs. The camera has 12.3 megapixels, Mashable reported. It can capture HD video at up to 120 frames per second, full HD video for up to 60 fps and UHD or 4K videos at up to 30 fps.

Users who would like slow-motion shots of their skiing trip, backflips and more would have to use either 720p or 1080p videos. The UHD videos could still be manageable but not as smooth compared to the others.

Of course, the LG Action CAM LTE is resistant to water and dust with its IP67 specifications. It can still be used at the beach for surfers who would most likely get wet or for those who would like to drive their 4x4s on deserts.

The camera is powerd by a 1/2.3-inch sensors and has ultra-wide 150-degree lens. It is designed really for action shots and coverages outdoors.

No official pricing has been announced yet. However, the LG Action CAM LTE will be launching in South Korea in June and will be launched globally in an undisclosed date later in 2016.
