Sony might be secretive about their upcoming PlayStation 4.5 but a French video games distributor may have accidentally confirmed that there will be a PlayStation NEO 4K that will be released soon.

Microsoft seems to be sitting still and waiting for events to unfold as their Xbox Two has no such information leaks yet. However, the PlayStation NEO has been reportedly less powerful than the Redmond-based company's new console.

One reason for this is because Sony is just planning to release an "upgraded' version of their PlayStation 4 but the Xbox Two will be a full-fledged next-gen console. Still, it looks like the upgraded console would be the first to arrive on the shelves this year.

The latest speculations state that the PlayStation NEO 4K or the PlayStation 4.5 would be released in September at the earliest. Additionally, the leaked info does not come from just anybody.

Specs-wise, the new upgraded version would have a slightly better GPU and CPU, or APU. It would have additional RAM for it to be able to carry the load of the 4K resolution on the user's screen.

There is also an overlap within the leaked info and the earlier reports of new games launching in October. The PlayStation NEO would be able to run games at 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, SlashGear reported.

If the leaked data is also correct, it would mean that the PlayStation 4.5 would be released even before the PS VR. Fans are also anxious to know whether it will also support the VR headset from Sony.

AMD has also been involved in the rumors and speculations regarding the upgraded console. Their new "semi-custom business" could be about the PlayStation NEO 4K, Valuewalk reported.

The new upgraded console could have its Jaguar CPUs running at 1.75 GHz, which is considerably faster than the PS4's current 1.38 GHz clock frequency. There is no news as to whether the hard drive would also be replaced by a faster one.

Official announcements from Sony will be the confirmation for all of the rumors and speculations revolving around the PlayStation NEO 4K or the PlayStation 4.5. It could release in September this year if the leaked info is right.
