The Open Beta for Blizzard's upcoming team-based shooter game, "Overwatch," came to a close less than a week ago. Blizzard has since published the results of the beta test for the upcoming title, and the results are without a doubt impressive.

Needless to say, Blizzard is already gearing up for the official launch of "Overwatch." The company, however, has a few choice words for people who are planning to cheat their way through "Overwatch." According to Blizzard, cheaters on "Overwatch" will get no second chances.

Blizzard's community manager Stephanie Johnson addressed the issue of cheating on the game's forums. According to Johnson's statement, as reported by Artechinica, players using hacks, bots or any other applications ,which can be used for cheating, would not be tolerated. These players would be banned from the game - permanently.

"Not only does cheating undermine the spirit of fair play that all of our products are based on, but it works to diminish the fun and enjoyment of others. While we are unlikely to publicly acknowledge when accounts are closed as a result of cheating or using unauthorized programs, we have and will continue to monitor Overwatch for exploitative behavior, as well as take action as needed to preserve the integrity of game," explained by Johnson.

Previously, Blizzard implemented very strict rules surrounding cheating within their games. For several years, cheating "World of Warcraft" accounts have been pulled out of the game by tens of thousands. In 2012, the game company implemented the same banning rules for "Diablo III."

Blizzard's "Overwatch" is scheduled to be released on Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One within the month. According to Blizzard's official press release, 9.7 million players participated in the "Overwatch" open beta. These gamers indulged in the upcoming game for 4.9 billion minutes or 81 million hours across 37 million matches.

"We're thrilled that such an incredible number of players from around the globe got a chance to check out Overwatch during the Open Beta" quipped Mike Morhaime, Blizzard CEO, in the official statement.

The game would be available come May 24; however, "Overwatch" can already be pre-purchased as of May 12.
