Markus hinted a description "12-foot purple guy with a raccoon" will be appearing in "Avengers: Infinity War". The "raccoon" referrence was obviously Rocket, but comic book fans speculate that the "12-foot tall person" could be the film's main antagonist, the Mad Titan Thanos (Josh Brolin). Rocker will be joining fellow Guardians of the Galaxy member Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt) as their appearance could support the rumored team-up between the Avengers and their team in stopping Thanos from collecting the Infinity Stones.

Aside from Rocket Raccoon, McFeely also teased another character joining the film in the form of the Sorcerer Supreme Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). McFeely discussed the film's scheduling conflicts in the production and hinted Cumberbatch name in it. Doctor Strange will first appear in his solo movie on Nov. 4 and will introduce the concept of magic and mysticism within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In other news, It seems that Marvel Studios might have a chance to add TV series characters in "Avengers: Infinity War". film

Both Markus and McFeely told IGN that they were open with the idea of having the members of the Defenders like Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Michael Colter) or Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) in the film, but stated it is really not their call.

Markus explained that a lot of it had to do with pacing in that they have to do this ahead of time, before "The Defenders" crossover in Netflix before they start shooting the film. He added that it is hard logistically to keep the movie character sync up with the TV characters given that the Marvel TV series practice is different from the films.

Directors Joe and Anthiony Russo stated that they will focus on introducing new characters for the MCU films and will not likely add TV characters due to Marvel President Kevin Feige handling the movies, while Jeph Loeb handles the TV side. Still, the Russos are still open with the idea of seeing the Netflix series and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." characters appearing in "Avengers Infinity War".

It is confirmed that the Russo brothers will be renaming the two-part "Avengers" sequel as they think it will be misleading to the fans and it should be a different story. The brothers added they are also interested in seeing Wolverine or the Great Lakes Avengers in the film.

"Avengers: Infinity War" part 1 is slated to be release on May 4, 2018, while part 2 is scheduled on May 3, 2019.
