Good news for the fans of Paddington, as the sequel of the 2014 fantasy-comedy movie may come to theaters soon. Studiocanal is said to start the production of "Paddington 2" on October, and may feature returning actors such as Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Ben Wishaw and more.

According to Variety, Studiocanal confirms that the production of "Paddington 2" will begin on October in the United Kingdom; however, the co-producer of the 2014 blockbuster movie has not confirmed the cast of the sequel yet. Despite of that, reports are pointing to a big possibility that Ben Wishaw, who plays Paddington, Sally Hawkins and Hugh Bonneville will likely return to reprise their roles in the sequel, given that the first film was a box office hit.

It is also said that the director of the previous film, Paul King, will still take the helm in the second installment. In regards to the film's antagonist, it was said that Nicole Kidman is interested of reprising her role as Millicent, who is a sadistic museum taxidermist and is dedicated of capturing Paddington to add on her stuffed animal collection.

In addition, according to reports, Studiocanal is aiming to make the screenplay of "Paddington 2" available in the Cannes market, and that it has been speculated that the film will likely be sold to International Distributors. This is because the previous installment did surpass expectation with a whopping $267 million dollar earning from a budget of $55 million dollars. It is hard to deny that "Paddington 2" is one of the biggest budgeted movies in the Cannes Film Festival, Den of Geek reported.

With the confirmation of Studiocanal that it will start the production of "Paddington 2" this October, reports are claiming that fans may expect a November 2017 release date of the sequel.

Fans may have been captured by the plot of the movie, which a cute intelligent bear was lost in Paddington station, and was found and adopted by the Brown family. However, the plot of "Paddington 2" has still not been announced yet, but reports indicate that the storyline of the film's sequel may surface soon.
