Just recently, Smith responded to a post on Stephen Amell's Facebook page where a fan of the show suggested that he write at least one episode next season. Amell seconded the fan's statement which could suggest that this is indeed a possibility.

Meanwhile, according to TV Line, the producers and directors of "Arrow" are currently in search of a male character who could give life to a new villainous character.

The character is described as an irrepressibly charming contemporary of Oliver who also happens to be a man on a mission. He will return to Starling City to seek revenge for something that happened to him a few years ago.

Casting call for the role of James revealed that they are looking for an actor of any ethnicity and is between the age of 20 to 30 who appears to be physically fit.

Other character description read, "He just as easily shake your hand as your best friend or break your neck as your worst enemy - and you never know which one is coming. Either way, he's more than capable of having a good time as he does it."

In other news, there are some rumors that James will take the place of the villainous character Damien Darhk. The finale episode for "Arrow" season 4 will be focused mostly on the latter.

While speaking with Mirror UK, cast member David Ramsey said that finale of "Arrow" season 4 will see his character Diggle and his friends tracking down Damien.

This time around, Team Arrow will do everything in their power to take down Damien. With this, there are ongoing speculations that the villain would finally be killed off. Most fans are happy because of all of the bad things that Damien has caused throughout the past couple of episodes.

"Arrow" season 5 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
