PC gamers have been enjoying "The Sims 4" since its release in 2014, and the game has yet to be available for console gaming. There have been several reports claiming that it won't be long before "The Sims 4" becomes available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4; however, unfortunately for the game's avid followers, fresh report indicates that the long awaited version may not arrive until the turn of the year.
According to News Every Day, Maxis and the developers of "The Sims 4," The Sims Studios, are having a tough time porting over the PC game to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Supposedly, the delay is caused by significant technical glitches in the porting process.
With "The Sims 3," the console version of the installment was released for PlayStation and Xbox less than two years after the PC version. Considering the previous timeline, the console version of "The Sims 4" should have arrived early in 2016.
Neither Maxis nor The Sims Studios have confirmed rumors surrounding the arrival of "The Sims 4" on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Nevertheless, Simmers have the upcoming release of "The Sims 4's" new expansion pack to look forward to.
Just one day ago, Electronic Arts or EA, the publisher of the game, confirmed the arrival of the latest expansion pack, "The Sims 4: Dine Out," on The Sims' official website. According to the official announcement, the game would be released for purchase in less than one month. Moreover, the company promises to release more information about "The Sims 4: Dine Out" over the course of the next few weeks.
"The Sims 4 Dine Out is full of new experiences, like experimental food, clumsy waiters, and so much more. But, we're getting ahead of ourselves. We will dive deep into how the sausage is made in the very near future, so keep a close eye on our social channels and website to find out more in the coming weeks," reads a part of "The Sims 4: Dine Out" Expansion Pack announcement published on The Sims' Official Website.
"The Sims 4: Dine Out" would be released on June 7, 2017.
