Korean electronics giant Samsung is offering virtual reality experiences at the Lisbon's Rock in Rio festival. The tech giant is bringing immersive on-site experiences, including virtual skydiving, volcano bungee and roller coaster using its Samsung Gear VR technology.

In a statement posted on its official website, Samsung said that the attractions will be taking place at the Galaxy Adventure Park from May 19 to 20 and May 27 to 29. Aside from the interactive and entertainment activities, the company will have a Samsung mobile store on-site.

To add fun to the event, a lucky winner will be drawn to win the latest Samsung mobile device.The tech giant will also distribute complimentary pods of smartphone chargers and battery packs. People could also view Samsung's latest mobile innovations on its featured booth.

For the adventure-seeking concert goers, Samsung prepared three interactive technologies that include:

Gear 360 sky diving selfie

People can experience virtual skydiving and get the chance to take a 360 degree selfie with their friends.

Gear VR roller coasters

This attraction takes the rider to an electrifying roller coaster ride using Samsung Gear VR.

Gear VR volcano bungee

For thrill seekers, this virtual reality experience will take them to what it is like to bungee jump over a flaming volcano of course using Samsung Gear VR headset. This attraction is preferably for those who don't easily faint.

"At Samsung, we always aim to provide new, diverse and fun ways for people to enjoy and experience our technologies," CNET quoted Samsung's mobile division global marketing head Young-hee Lee as saying. He added they could not wait to team up music and technology to bring fans closer all across the world.

Rock in Rio is hailed as a popular music festival in the world. It is well known not only in Brazil, but also in Portugal, Spain and the U.S.A. Its aim is to bring all kinds of music in a single platform and join the audience from different parts of the world.

In time for Lisbon's Rock in Rio's 30th year, the Lisbon event will feature great performances from famous bands all over the world such as the Queen, Bruce Springsteen and Maroon 5.
