"Arrow" season 5 will introduce a new villainous character, and lead star Stephen Amell just dropped some information on who that could be.

Just recently, there are ongoing rumors that "Arrow" season 4 will say goodbye to resident villain Damien Darhk in the finale episode.

The latter will be taken down by the members of Team Arrow, namely, Oliver Queen, Diggle (David Ramsey), Thea (Willa Holland) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards).

If Damien Darhk would indeed be killed off, it would only make sense to introduce another villain on the hit The CW series.

While speaking with Variety, Amell said, "I've heard that our big bad, our villain, is something that you can really only do once you're in the fifth, sixth or seventh season of a TV show."

When asked what else he can share about the new villain, Amell said that all he can share for now is that the character won't have superpowers.

Meanwhile, Amell also expressed his excitement over the upcoming fifth season of "Arrow" especially since the series would go back to its roots from season 1. He added that The CW won't also introduce any new superhero shows next year that "Arrow" would help launch.

With this, Amell said that he, his co-stars and the creators of the show will have plenty of time to focus on how they can improve "Arrow" season 5 with every episode.

"'Supergirl' is coming, but we don't have to introduce a new show next year. In season 2, it was the introduction of 'The Flash' and crossovers there, and last year there was a lot with 'Legends of Tomorrow,' and we don't have to do that this year because 'Supergirl' is already established. So I would like to focus on a lot of the stuff that I think 'Arrow' does very well," he said.

In other news, Amell said that he's also looking forward to the upcoming crossovers between "Arrow," "The Flash" and "Supergirl." Not to mention, "Legends of Tomorrow."

"I'm always interested and it's always great for fans," he said.

"Arrow" season 4 will air its finale episode on May 25 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
