A hefty salary of  £68million ($99 million) will not convince Daniel Craig to reprise his role again as James Bond. A female James Bond version is not a bad idea and in fact "Quantico" star Priyanka Chopra and "X-files" actress Gillian Anderson names surfaced for the role.

Actors Idris Elba, Tom Hiddleston, Damien Lewis, Clive Owen, John Boyega and Aidan Turner were named as contenders for Craig's replacement. This week, Chopra stirred rumors when she was asked about her view if there was a possibility for her to be a future female James Bond.

"I get that all the time, but f*** that," Chopra told Complex. "I wanna be Bond."

"I was very sure I did not want to be the stereotype of what Indian people are seen as, which is Bollywood, and henna," Chopra told the magazine. She argued that everyone has the equal right to do the job no matter where you come from.

Chopra is slated to play Victoria Leeds in the forthcoming "Baywatch" film while still doing "Quantico," the drama series that marked her international acting debut. In the series, she plays Alex Parrish, a young FBI recruit who is suspected of plotting a terrorist attack.

It was not easy for the Bollywood actress to penetrate the Hollywood scene. Being new in the international films and television, Chopra did find that she was a victim of racial stereotyping.

Apart from Chopra, Anderson was pressed to play the role of the female James Bond if there would be a chance in the future. Her fans were overwhelmed to nominate the actress as a female James Bond after a fan-made poster was shared in the social media on May 23, Monday, Daily Mail reported.

Anderson seemed to like the idea and even retweeted the poster on her account. She extended her appreciation to her fan who made the poster and claimed that she is Jane Bond.

The female James Bond rumors circulated in the media as soon as news that Craig rejected the offer to do another two installments of the "James Bond" movie. He has portrayed the role of the top secret agent since 2005 and has done four films in 10 years.
