The South Korean tech giant, Samsung, is geared to rival Apple's iPhone 7 stiff with its next-generation Samsung Galaxy Note 6. While one cannot compare the two smartphones, the two tech giants are at war.

Samsung Galaxy Note 6 could be a game-changer for the manufacturer if rumors are to be believed. The device will not only be an upgraded version of its precursor, the Galaxy Note 5, but it could also boast a few unique features.

Samsung filed for registering the Samsung Iris and Samsung Eyeprint trademarks in the European Union, according to Galaxy Club. The patent application is a pointer that the features could be seen in the imminent Galaxy Note 6.

On the other hand, it is reported that the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 will sport a foldable Stylus Pen. According to Patently Mobile, the new pen has a mechanism whereby a user can pull it out, bend it midway, and lock it to make a stand.

Samsung filed the patent application in the third quarter of 2015, implying that the technology could have been developed by now for use. The manufacturer is mum on this information, but it is rumored that the feature could be introduced in the Galaxy Note 6.

Further reports have it that Samsung is working on Samsung Focus, a feature similar to Blackberry's Hub app seen in the Blackberry 10 OS. The feature could also be used in the upcoming Galaxy Note 6.

Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy Note 6 will sport a 5.8-inch display with 2560 by 1440 pixel. The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, in addition to coming with a 64 GB or 128 GB internal memory, and a 6 GB of RAM.

Galaxy Note 6 is expected to ship with the same camera screen like that of Galaxy S7. Therefore, the upcoming device will sport a 12MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, 26mm, OIS, 1/ 2.6-inch sensor size and 1.4 µm pixel size, and a 5MP front facing camera for selfies.

It is upon Samsung savvy consumers to decide whether these features are worth the wait. Here is footage for more details on Samsung Galaxy Note 6.
