It has been almost eight months since the divorce of Gwen Stefani, 46, and Gavin Rossdale, 50, was finalized after 13 years of marriage. Recently, the two reportedly had a private meeting, which was said to be emotional.

A family source told Us Weekly that Stefani secretly met with Rossdale to talk about her relationship with her current boyfriend and former fellow "The Voice" coach Blake Shelton, 39. The source said Rossdale reasserted his rights as a father to their children Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, 9, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, 7, and Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale, 2.

According to the source, Stefani and Rossdale talked about how the No Doubt frontwoman's relationship with the former husband of Miranda Lambert, 32, would affect their children going forward. The Bush frontman wanted to be consulted on everything about the children and the role that Shelton is playing in their lives, the source added.

Rossdale and Stefani have shared custody since they separated in 2015. However, the former reportedly does not like the fact that Shelton has formed a close relationship with Stefani's sons.

On the other hand, the source pointed out that Shelton has nothing to do with Rossdale. The country singer is said to be disgusted that Rossdale cheated on Stefani with the nanny of the children and he could not forgive somebody "who treated his lady that way."

Meanwhile, Shelton is set to among the artists who will take part in the upcoming Red Nose Day Special. The other singers who will join the event are Celine Dion, Mandy Moore, former Spice Girl Mel B and U2's Bono, according to Billboard.

The special, which aims to raise money and awareness for children living in poverty, will be hosted by Craig Ferguson and will air live on NBC on May 26, Thursday, from 9-11 p.m. ET. The other guests are Ellen DeGeneres, Zac Efron, Paul Rudd, Julianne Moore, Jack Black, Anna Kendrick, Chloë Grace Moretz, Liam Neeson, Ludacris, Emma Watson, Emma Thompson, Tracy Morgan, Seth Rogen, Kristen Bell, Adam Devine, Sarah Silverman and Rose Byrne, among others.
