Chinese model-actress Zhang Ziyi has finally decided to settle down after she accepted a peculiar marriage proposal from her musician beau during her 36th birthday celebration on Saturday.

On Jan. 7, the "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" star got engaged to Chinese rock singer and composer Wang Feng, who popped the question after getting a 9.15-carat Moussaieff diamond ring from none other than a drone.

"Witnessed by all, we have experienced happiness and sorrow. I hope Ziyi can always have the happiest time. If we both are old, I can still take care of you," said the 43-year-old Chinese musician.

Sporting a one-shoulder red gown, Zhang tearfully accepted the marriage proposal and answered Wang's surprise with the sweetest kiss and embrace.

According to reports, the couple had just began dating Sept. 2013 after Wang announced his return to bachelorhood following his divorce with his second wife, though the lovers only confirmed their relationship early in November that same year.

Before she got involved with her fiancé, the Chinese actress had been dating capitalist Aviv "Vivi" Nevo. The two broke up in 2010.

Prior to that, Zhang Ziyi was rumored to have been in an affair with Director Zhang Yimou, who is also the helmer of Ziyi's debut film in 1999 "The Road Home," but the two never confirmed if they indeed had been a couple.

A year after, she skyrocketed to fame for her stellar performance at the 2000 hit film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," co-starring Chow Yun-fat and Michelle Yeoh, and later proved her star quality further when she joined Hollywood film "Rush Hour 2" in 2001 as well as the film adaptation of "Memoirs of Geisha" in 2005.
