Rumors are rife that Apple MacBook Pro 2016 and Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be released at the same time in October. The simultaneous release will pit both the devices against each other.
Earlier, Apple MacBook Pro 2016 release was expected to take place at the WorldWide Conference, which is taking place in California from June 13-17. However, the release of the laptop is now delayed to the fourth quarter of 2016, according to MacWorld.
Similarly, Microsoft Surface Pro 5 release was also rumored to take place in June. However, now it is delayed and is expected to release in October.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 specs may include 4K HD display with a screen resolution of 3840 X 2160. It may also come with USB Type-C port, which is one of the features of Apple MacBook Pro 2016, according to CNET.
Microsoft is planning to release its latest Surface Pro 5 with the Intel's Kaby Lake processor, which will run more than 118 giga operations per second spread across its eight cores. Its DDR4 latency is just 23 nanoseconds and its GPU performance is more than 37 MP per second.
A newly re-designed Surface Pen may also launch with the Surface Pro 5. The upcoming model will be rechargeable and come with a magnetic dock as well. This is a huge improvement over the previous Surface Pen, which functioned on batteries.
On the other hand, Apple MacBook Pro 2016 is going to be the thinnest and the cheapest offering from the company till date. It is expected to bid adieu to the MacBook Air lineup as it comes equipped with some great hardware in a very small frame.
Apple is trying to make the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016 as thin as possible. In this endeavour, they are planning to sacrifice all the extra ports and launch the laptop with just the USB Type-C port. Hence, it may come with USB Type-C ports on both sides of the device unlike the recently launched MacBook 2016.
MacBook Pro 2016 may also come with a new revolutionary keyboard bereft of any physical keys. Users will get the option to customize the keyboard as per their needs and convenience.
