"Madden 17" will be available on PS3, PS4, Xbox One and XBox 360 on Aug. 23. Previously, the game can be played through Electronics Arts Access but will soon be opened to different gaming platforms. It is expected to reach stores online and offline this fall.

Since "Madden 17" will be launching on different consoles, it is expected that several features have also been improved. According to EA Sports, the game's defensive AI got a total reboot of its run defense and pass defense and a Defensive Gap Control was included to make it more engaging and realistic.

The report further elaborated how a run-fits system can be implemented. A conventional approach on defense system installation in the NFL was conducted through alignment, assignment and technique. It was determined that a Defensive-Auto Flip feature is added into the game. This feature works by aligning the defenders in the correct place to ensure that they will be executing their positions well. If the player prefers to do the assigning manually, the auto-flip feature can be toggled off from the game's settings.

The defense-auto flip feature can be done in a myriad of ways depending on the type of play called during the game. Each play has its own flip rules that will align to different strengths of the offense. Three different types of play are available, the "Run Strength," "Pass Strength," and "Sub."

In run strength, the players will align to the side of offense with the most TE's or fullbacks. Playing in pass strength aligns the players on the side of offense with the most receivers. Lastly the sub play allows the defensive front to align to the run strength while the coverage will align to the pass strength.

The defense-auto flip feature is only one of the many new features the game has right now. A new ball carrier system has also been added that will allow players to modify their running inside the game.

As for its price, the regular version is at $59.99 with its special edition ranges from $79.99 to $99.99, Gotta Be Mobile noted. Watch a preview of Madden 17 first look trailer below.
