HTC Vive received positive reviews when the virtual reality headset was released in early April. The Taiwanese company is now focusing on supporting the VR device with super content. As part of that goal it plans to unveil its first in-house game at this year's Computex computer expo in Taipei, which starts on May 31, Tuesday.

The game is titled Front Defense. It will reportedly include astounding battlefield fights, several weapons to choose from, and lots of action, according to Ubergizmo.

HTC also has plans to showcase a new VR experience named Holodia at the Computex trade show. The company calls it the first-ever VR experience that helps people to reach their fitness goals. It also plans to show off other VR experiences including Jeeboman and Ruckus Ridge.

Now that HTC has launched its VR headset it wants to focus on both hardware and software for the platform. This is a key issue in the world of VR.

HTC is using SteamVR technology from Valve software, so it is required to include the Steam online store. Therefore, HTC must build its own games and apps to get a bigger piece of the pie.

The tech company has also started the Vive X fund. It will spend $100 to million speed up the work of developers to create VR productivity apps and tools. This is another way HTC could earn money from companies that help to move VR from mobile phones to standalone VR gadgets.

The company also launched a VR software studio to make content for its $800 VR headset and the fast-growing market. Analysts at SuperData Research believe the VR industry could earn $50 billion in revenue by the year 2020.

In related news, a wireless controller for Samsung's Gear VR headset has showed up in a leaked photo, according to Phone Arena. The image seems to suggest the accessory was not designed for VR but instead for a basic controller for 2D games.

However, a few features suggest the device would make it a good choice for pairing with the Gear VR headset. For example, it seems it could easily be stored in the VR viewer.
