"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will reveal Jo (Camilla Luddington) and Alex's (Justin Chambers) fate in its early episodes.
Just recently, it was revealed that Jo couldn't say yes to Alex's proposal because she was previously married to a man who abused her.
Despite already being in a relationship for several years, Jo never mentioned this detail about her life to him.
It was only during a drunken night with Andrew (Giacomo Gianniotti) did Jo open up about her terrible experiences and trauma from her ex-husband.
With this, viewers believe that Jo will finally open up to Alex about her troubled past. The question is whether or not Alex will be able to accept the fact that his long-time girlfriend wasn't completely honest with him.
On TV Line's site, some fans of "Grey's Anatomy" are urging executive producer Shonda Rhimes to finally split Jo and Alex.
One fan @Linnea wrote, "This relationship has dragged on long enough. They need to break up so he's free to hook up with Meredith. It's gonna happen next season, people. I can feel it in my bones."
Another fan @Hurley wrote, "Alex and Meredith yeeha! Nothing against Jo, but Alex and Meredith have to be together, even though at first that felt so incestuous, now I ship them a lot!"
One fan @Jolexisajoke went as far as saying that Jo should just be killed off from the hit ABC series.
"Jolex is a joke. End that awful relationship, please. Get rid of Jo, thanks. A nice death would be nice," she said.
Meanwhile, some fans also believe that even though Jo and Alex break up, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Alex couldn't be together. After all, the two characters have a close bond, and they are also like brothers and sisters.
One fan @D wrote, "LOL. Only someone who still doesn't understand Alex and Meredith would think of Jo as an obstacle for them. They are like brother and sister, it's been stated so many times by now everyone should know it. Even if Jo and Alex are done for good, Alex won't hook up with Meredith.
"Grey's Anatomy" season 13 will premiere on ABC sometime this year.
