The Android Marshmallow update is imminent for the Samsung Galaxy S5 users on the network carriers AT&T and Verizon. It is also releasing for LG G2 and the Rogers Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users.
LG G2 was spotted running Android Marshmallow on a benchmarking Hungarian website Napidroid. Thus, the rollout of the update for all the users of the device is imminent.
Canadian users of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 are enjoying the features of Android Marshmallow on their devices. First network carriers such as Telus, Bell, SaskTel and Wind released the Android Marshmallow update for their users.
Now, Rogers is following suit and has released Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for its Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users. The update is over 1.5 GB in size and it is releasing in a phased manner for all the users.
Users can check their devices to see if they are prompted for an update or not. To do so, they need to go to Settings> About Device> Check for Software Update.
In case the users are prompted to download the new update then they need to connect the device to an unmetered and reliable Wifi network for an uninterrupted updation experience. The device also needs to be connected to a power source in case the battery levels are less than 50 percent.
Meanwhile, network carrier T-Mobile was the first one to release the Android Marshmallow update for Samsung Galaxy S5 users, according to its support page. The update is still rolling out and will eventually reach all the users soon.
Sprint followed suit and released the Android Marshmallow update for their users. Sprint also released the update for other variant of Samsung Galaxy S5, namely S5 Sport.
However, there is no word as to when the other network carriers such as AT&T, Verizon and US Cellular are planning to release the update for their users. As Sprint and T-Mobile have already released the update for their users so other network carriers should also complete their testing and development phase promptly and release the update soon.
