Microsoft's Xbox Two, Sony's PlayStation NEO and the Nintendo NX are being expected by a GameStop executive to be released or at least revealed during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016 event.
Fans and gamers worldwide have been teased by numerous leaks, rumors and speculations about the new and upcoming video game consoles. The Nintendo NX, PlayStation NEO and the Xbox Two are all expected to surpass the current generation of consoles with more powerful hardware and features.
All of the respective companies rumored to be developing the consoles have not confirmed when they will be unveiling the new consoles. There has been some leaked information about their specs but there are no confirmations yet as to whether they are true or not.
GameStop COO Tony Bartel said during their recent earnings briefing that the new consoles could finally make an appearance at the E3 2016 event, GameSpot has learned. These could be the PlayStation NEO, the Xbox Two and the Nintendo NX
Bartel did not explicitly say which consoles are expected to be revealed. However, there are only three possible candidates that have already been mentioned.
Despite the expected reveal of the next-gen consoles, GameStop still has no projections for sales. The reason behind this could be because there is still no certainty on the release dates.
Besides the PlayStation NEO, Nintendo NX and the Xbox Two reveal, there are also other devices expected at E3 2016. Bartel said that they are expecting to be one of the major retailers for the PlayStation VR, Vine Report reported.
All three consoles are expected to be able to run 4K resolution for the games with 60 frames per second. It would also automatically translate to more than 60 fps for gamers still stuck at 1080p screens and TVs.
GameStop has also recently said that the Nintendo NX will have some form of physical media. It could be in the form of discs or cartridges.
The prediction of GameStop for the reveal of the Xbox Two, Nintendo NX and the PlayStation NEO probably holds more weight compared to other statements from leakers. They would be one of the first to know when a new console will arrive in E3 2016.
