More speculations about the "House of Cards" series are surfacing, given that unconfirmed information leads its supporters to believe that the fifth season of the political drama series is going to return on March 2017.
According to recent rumors, the Underwoods will display a greater conflict between them in the awaited "House of Cards" Season 5. It can be remembered that the romantic relationship between the president, Frank Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey), and his vice president and wife, Claire (played by Robin Wright), seems to be alright whenever they appear to the public. However, behind the strong marriage the two portrays, the series also exposed how power destroyed their love for each other.
It can also be recalled that Frank was shown to be weaker, and is on the hospital bed for a while. With that said, fans are speculating that the scene indicates the rise of Claire to power, and that she would eventually take Frank's presidency in the anticipated "House of Cards" Season 5.
According to Australia Network News, Claire may indeed be the next president, as a Reddit user, Santidreet, said that Frank is going to die in the first episode of the fifth season.
It is said that the reddit user based his prediction from the episodes of the fourth season, which exposed that Frank is not doing fine due to liver problems, and that the character has been constantly complaining of pain. The same publication also cited the theory of another reddit user, Changyang1230, who predicted that "House of Cards" Season 5 will be the last season of the series.
Meanwhile, according to Cross Map, Claire will eventually be Frank's biggest rival in "House of Cards" Season 5. It was also revealed that there is a possibility that Claire may plan to get rid of his husband in the fifth season, given that it was showed in Season 4 that she was involve in leading Frank to a war.
As of the moment, there is no official release date of "House of Cards" Season 5, but rumors are loud that it would premiere in the first quarter of 2017.
