One of the factors believed to have contributed to the success of "Better Call Saul" is AMC's decision to use one hit series "The Walking Dead."

"Better Call Saul" was slated at 10 p.m. following the spring premiere of "The Walking Dead," which is regarded the most successful show on AMC's schedule. In fact, "The Walking Dead" attracted 10.1 million viewers in the 18- to 49-year-old demographic.

Created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould, "Better Call Saul" stars Bob Odekirk, Rhea Seehorn, and Patrick Fabian, among others. "Breaking Bad" stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are said to appear in the spinoff but it has yet to be confirmed if it is slated in the first season

In 2014, after "Breaking Bad", Paul did not take a break as the finale of the five-season drama series was immediately followed by the release of the action film "Need for Speed."

When asked by Atlanta Magazine about the pressure of choosing a role after his Emmy-winning performance in "Breaking Bad," Paul said there were those times when he had to pay the bills so being picky is not an option although he has always tried to be as choosy as possible.

"Need for Speed" is a tribute to the racing films of Steve McQueen in the 60s and 70s.
