“Blued,” the first-ever Chinese mobile dating app created especially for homosexuals, has recently revealed its international version in the Netherlands in a bid to be more globally competitive.

On Feb. 7, Blued CEO and founder Geng Le unveiled through the company's website their decision to launch the one-of-a-kind mobile application to the Netherlands because it was the first country to legalize same-sex marriage and is considered worldwide as a "paradise" for homosexuals.

According to the Women of China, the mobile dating app already has 15 million subscribers with an average of 3 million active users every day since it made its debut in China in 2011.

The mobile app reportedly earned as much as $30 million during the third leg of financing, said Geng Le, who was also a former police officer.

Reports revealed that the 36-year-old police-turned-businessman decided to quit his job and play the role of Cupid in order "to liberate fellow homosexuals across the world."

Blued revealed that the LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) multimedia content would soon be available for the Dutch on Feb. 6 through RNW, formerly known as Radio Netherlands Worldwide.

According to him, the European market can be considered a gay-friendly one and is seen to have great potential, especially since the Netherlands is the very first nation to accept homosexuals as lawful citizens of their country.

News about the overseas expansion came in the wake of Apple CEO Tim Cook's revelation about his homosexuality, which Geng deemed as a "great encouragement."

"We are aiming high for a final IPO, which would celebrate homosexual culture and business and, more important, demonstrate ever increasing social tolerance in the country," he stated.

He also revealed his company's plan to create a lesbian counterpart of Blued, which they would soon name "Pink'd."
