"Arrow" season 5 will finally discuss in length Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) biggest secret.

In the previous episodes, Oliver had a scene with the girl from the island Taiana about how he got his tattoos and how he was able to learn how to speak Russian.

During their conversation, Oliver told the female character that no one could ever know about his secret.

While speaking to TV Line, showrunner Wendy Mericle said that viewers will finally get an insight into Oliver's secret.

"It's a very good possibility that we'll finally find out how he got that Bratva tattoo and how he learned to speak Russian. When Oliver says, 'No one can know my secret,' and he kills that guy in the pilot, we're going to get some insight into that," he said.

Meanwhile, "Arrow" season 5 will also see Oliver as the newest mayor of Starling City.

In season 4, Oliver decided to run for the said position, but Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) also ran against him. Ultimately, the villainous character was gotten rid of in the finale so now Oliver is the new head of the city.

According to Mericle, City Hall and the institution itself is very crucial to "Arrow" in the same way that it the venue was also crucial to the DC Comics' "Batman."

However, it is still unclear how Oliver's task as the mayor will affect or benefit his role as Starling City's ultimate savior Arrow.

In other news, Amell previously confirmed that "Arrow" season 5 will introduce a new villainous character.

During an interview at the DC All Access (via Comic Book), the actor also said, "The only thing that I can tease is that it's only a villain we could do if we were in season 5 of a show because it calls back to what has happened in yesteryear or yester-season as the case may be."

"Arrow" season 5 also stars Willa Holland as Thea Queen, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak, David Ramsay as Diggle, Paul Blackmore as Detective Quentin Lance, John Barrowman as Malcolm Merlyn and more.

"Arrow" season 5 will premiere on The CW sometime this year.
