The show must go on for "Teen Wolf" Season 6, despite the main cast member Dylan O'Brien still suffering from the injuries he sustained on the set of "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure."

The rest of the "Teen Wolf" cast and crew have begun filming for the sixth season, considering O'Brien's condition, he may not be able to recover just in time to catch up.

O'Brien was injured while filming "The Death Cure" on March 18. The production for the film is currently on hold since the 24-year-old star needs more time to recover.

"His injuries are very serious, and he needs more time to recover," O'Brien's publicist, Jennifer Allen, said in a statement.

Due to O'Brien's health concerns, Twentieth Century Fox has decided to move the release date of "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure" from Feb. 17, 2017 to Jan. 12, 2018.

"The resumption of principal photography on Maze Runner: The Death Cure has been further delayed to allow Dylan O'Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries," the company said in a statement, as quoted by Entertainment Weekly. "We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible."

This further goes to show that "Teen Wolf" Season 6 may move forward with or without O'Brien. Previous seasons of the show usually premiered in June on MTV, and although the network has not mentioned anything with regard to the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 release date, many are expecting to follow the same June format.

However, it is also rumored that O'Brien, who plays Stiles in the series, may be able to appear in "Teen Wolf" Season 6 as long as he is not required to do some stunts or anything physically rigorous.

Although there still no definite answer as to whether or not O'Brien will take part in "Teen Wolf" Season 6, what's certain is that he will remain an important character in the show. "Teen Wolf" creator Jeff Davis has most certainly not written off O'Brien's part in the series. As a matter of fact, he dished exciting details about Stydia in an interview with Hollywood Life.

"I'll say something very big happens between Stiles and Lydia in the first episode of season 6, and viewers will have to tune in to find out whether it's good or bad or both," Davis said.
