In an interview done by HBO, Turner revealed that Sansa Stark has much more control in this current season compared to her roles from the past. She now becomes a leader working alongside with her stepbrother Jon Snow. According to the actress, she admired Sansa's character because of her resiliency and determination.

Of all the wrong things done by many people to Sansa in the past few seasons, Turner agreed that it's time for her character to learn to play the game. "It's definitely fair to say that Sansa is learning how to 'play the game.' She's had a front seat in watching master manipulators and big players in the game and she's been learning silently from them," the actress said.

In a separate interview for Whelan, she thinks that Yara is the perfect candidate to lead the Ironborns but when Euron came, her leadership was taken away which is kind of frustrating. Whelan shared that she was asked by some people in Twitter why she keeps on running away from threats and she answered, "It's because she's playing the long game. It's like chess and she plays several moves ahead - which make her even more of a brilliant candidate to lead. She understands exactly how things will play out."

Whelan also hinted that there is something big coming for the siblings. Yara's brother, Theon seem to have a big plan when he said that he is going to march with the Starks and suggested to Yara that they are going to do something.

As posted by Los Angeles Times, Yara does have big plans that are involving dragons. There could be an alliance that is going to happen between her and Daenerys Targaryen as they have their own goals. Dany wants to take the Iron Throne from the Lannisters and Yara wants to claim the Salt Throne to lead the Ironborn in her native place in Iron Islands.

Season 6 promises an explosive ending where big battles are going to happen.
