"The 100" Season 4 will focus on the rebuilding of Bellamy (Bob Morley) and Octavia's (Marie Avgeropoulos) relationship. The actor revealed that if it was up to him, their relationship dynamic will be more than just bickering brother and sister.
According to Enstarz, Morley believes that it is very much possible for Bellamy and Octavia to save their relationship and return to what they once were if she will just give it a try. The actor held that his character is optimistic that she will be able to get past his betrayal if Octavia will just open her heart.
"The 100" fans can remember that Bellamy had once betrayed the Grounder army, which led to the death of Lincoln (Ricky Whittle).
"Bellamy had a feeling it was getting to that. Hopefully they reconnect and she lets him in," Morley told the Phonic Comicon attendees.
As for his character, Morley held that it was about time that he lets Octavia be her person and make her own decisions. He said that he should stop belittling her and trust that she can fend for herself.
"Marie and I would like their relationship to get past Bellamy saying, 'You can't do this,' and Octavia being like, 'I can!'" Morley explained.
In an interview with IGN, Avgeropoulos admitted that Bellamy and Octavia had a lot to work on in "The 100" Season 4. She explained that Bellamy's decision to side with Pike (Michael Beach) back in Season 3 continued to cause a strain on their relationship.
While she tries to remain loyal to Bellamy, with all that she has been through, Avgeropoulos shared that it was, without a doubt, an extremely difficult season for Octavia. She said that "The 100" Season 4 may end up being just as problematic.
"She's always in conflict about what to do [and] at the end of the day she's at conflict with the decision of family. Bellamy's the only family Octavia has. It's going to be tough for her next season."
