Xbox One and Xbox 360 users will be able to play multiplayer games for free this weekend while Xbox Live Gold membership holders will be part of a "free play" event by EA Access.

Owners of the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One will be part of the free multiplayer event across the two consoles. Players will be able to play Rocket League for free starting on June 9 up to 12.

It will be a good chance for players who have not tried out Rocket League yet. Non-Xbox Live players will also be able to experience what all the fuss is about for a membership, Irish Examiner reported.

Other games included in the free multiplayer event for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 include Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Tom Clancy's The Division and FIFA 16. There could be more games available but only the multiplayer aspect will be available.

Xbox Live Gold members will also be able to take part of EA Access's free play event starting on June 12 up to June 22, Destructoid has learned. Players can have full access of the games inside the EA Access Vault without paying for the monthly or yearly fee.

The free play event could also be considered as a long trial period for those looking to buy the perk for themselves. If they are satisfied with all the games that they can play, they might want to subscribe.

Some notable titles included in the EA Access vault include Battlefield Hardline, Dragon Age: Inquisition, NBA Live 16, Need for Speed Rivals and Plants vs. Zombies. Most of the titles include old sports games from several years back.

For Xbox Live Gold members to try out the EA Access vault, they will just have to download the EA Access Hub App on the store. No credit card or account signup is needed.

Of course, the Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners will have to have fast internet connections in order to download the games even before the events end. If they do want to subscribe to a membership of the EA Access pass, they can use their credit cards to pay for a monthly or yearly subscription.
