"The Flash" season 3 could introduce two new characters that will be played by two old cast members.

Just recently, Keiynan Lonsdale's Wally West has gotten more and more exposure on the hit The CW drama.

After fighting with his biological dad Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and sister Iris (Candice Patton), Wally had a sudden change of heart when he realized that his family members really only want what's best for him.

Following his mom's demise, Joe opened his house to Wally, and he has been staying there for quite some time now.

However, Wally recently became Zoom's (Teddy Sears) target and captured him so Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) went out to save him. Unfortunately, Barry's caused him to lose his superpowers temporarily.

Since then, Wally has shown dedication in wanting to repair The Flash for what he has done to him.

Meanwhile, Jesse Wells (Violett Beane) was recently introduced on the show as Wells' (Tom Cavanagh).

She and Wally were recently hit by the particle accelerator that might have caused them to turn into a speedster.

Last season, Jesse even asked the help of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) to check if she turned into a superhero after that encounter. The latter told her that she didn't.

However, according to Cheat Sheet, it's highly possible that Wally and Jesse's superpowers will finally be introduced in "The Flash" season 3.

The publication noted that Wally will turn into his alter ego Kid Flash, and he can become The Flash's successor especially now that the latter altered the course of life in Earth-1.

Jesse, on the other hand, can turn into her speedster persona Jesse Quick. She could also be very instrumental in helping Barry/The Flash catch the bad guys.

While speaking with Bustle, Beane said that she's excited to find out what's in store for her character in "The Flash" season 3.

However, she also joked that turning into a metahuman might be difficult for her because this means she would have to engage in fight scenes and run all the time.

"The Flash" season 3 will premiere on The CW sometime this year.
