Apple Watch 2 will unlikely be launched at this year's World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) that starts on June 13, Monday. The release date of the tech giant's second-gen smartwatch has been delayed and will probably get a September rollout with the iPhone 7. This would paradoxically have a negative effect on public relations as the original Apple Watch was criticized for requiring connections to iPhones.

Some rumors have surfaced that Apple will brand its smart watch like some iPhone releases. However, it seems unlikely that the company's smartwatch will be known as Apple Watch S.

One interesting rumor is that the Apple Watch 2 would launch a brand new model. It would reportedly have a price tag of about $4,000 and compete with luxury wristwatches from Rolex and Omega.

Apple also seems to be making Apple Watch 2 more independent of iPhones by connecting to 3G and 4G Wi-Fi without an Apple smartphone. This would allow the smartwatch to get app updates, make calls, receive text messages, and send emails on its own.

Apple Watch 2 might reportedly include a circular face, but it is more likely that it will mostly keep the same design as the original wrist wearable. The new Apple Watch will also get updated accessories and bands.

Next, Apple Watch 2.0 will reportedly have the same OLED display as the original model, according to ValueWalk. LG might supply all displays for Apple Watch 2.

The California-based corporation will also reportedly add a FaceTime camera to Apple Watch 2. This would allow users to make direct video calls.

In addition,  Apple will certainly increase the battery life of Apple Watch 2. It will likely improve software to boost battery capacity and require a charge every two days instead of daily.

Finally, Apple will probably add the health-tracking features missing from the original Apple Watch.

In related news, the Blocks modular smartwatch is now available for pre-orders that are set to ship in October. The Blocks wearable costs $330, according to The Verge.

This new wearable includes four modules that can be swapped in/out of the wristband. They include Adventure (measures temperature, humidity, and pressure), Extra Battery, Flashlight, GPS, Heart Rate, and Programmable Button.
