New details for "Injustice 2" will feature the sequel's first gameplay trailer, four DC characters joining the roster and no fatalities.

NetherRealm Studios launched the first gameplay trailer for "Injustice 2" as gamers and comic book fans alike, were amazed on the new features and characters debuting in the sequel. The video shows the new DC characters Gorilla Grodd, Supergirl and the Red Lantern Atrocitus alongside returning characters Batman, Superman, The Flash and Aquaman.

Each character will bring their unique individual skills and super powers against one another and will feature more enviromental effects such as being hit by bullet train in Metropolis or being hit by Black Manta in the Atlantis stage. "Injustice 2" will also feature new armored forms for each DC hero and villain as a way of increasing their skills during battle, VG 24/7 reported.

In other news, NetherRealm Studios producer Ed Boon teased three DC characters that would possibly join the roster of "Injustice 2" as he tweeted a survey asking video game and comic book fans who they want to see in the sequel.

Three characters were listed in the survey and these are Captain Cold, Blue Beetle and Swamp Thing. Blue Beetles leads the survey at 39 percent, followed by Swamp Thing 35 percent nd Captain Cold at 26 percent.

There is also another tweeted photo of Ed Boon wearing an "Injustice 2" t-shirt which will given to fans during the "Mortal Kombat X" Pro League season 3 finals as images of the on the shirt incudes Superman's insignia, Batman's Cowl, Wonder Woman's shield, Green Lantern's power battery, The Flash's boot, Harley Quinn's hammer, Capatain Cold's gun, Doctor Fate's helmet and an unknown item.

Aside from the possible leaked characters, Boon told IGN that "Injustice 2" will not feature any "Fatality" finishing moves and addressed "Mortal Kombat X's" of having "Easy Fatalities" stating that "it was a very successful feature in the game, it was hugely successful."

The sequel wiill continue the story from the first "Injustice" game as Batman helps rebuild the world after Superman's One Earth Government Regime and stop any everyone from the faction from releasing Superman. The heroes will encounter a new threat far more dangerous than the Man of Steel.

NetherRealm Studios will reveal more details about "Injustice 2" at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo event on June 14-16.

"Injustice 2" will launch sometime next year as previous reports speculated that it could be on May 2017 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and possibly for the PC platform.
