The official trailer for "Titanfall 2" was recently released by EA. The trailer revealed its release date which is set on October 28, 2016. It will be offered across different platforms like PS4, PC and Xbox One. Offline single player mode will also be included in the upcoming sequel.
According to its official description, in the single player campaign, players will be taking the role of a Militia rifleman who aspires to become a pilot. The description further stated that the player's role is to team up with a veteran Vanguard-class Titan and accomplish never-before conducted missions, Attack of the Fan Boy reported.
In multiplayer mode, the game is expected to deliver the "best-in-class" shooter gameplay coupled with a variety of new Titans each possessing its own unique skills and more profound Pilot abilities. The game is also said to feature expanded collection of weapons with a selection of customization, and a robust progression system.
In terms of gameplay, there had been a significant change in how the rodeo mechanic works. If the previous game requires the player to hop up or use the front rifleman's grappling hook on its Titan enemy, the player will need to drop a grenade down a hole in the top of the enemy mech, IGN reported.
The same report added that producer Drew McCoy explained that rodeos will no longer be "quick pilot-on-Titan" kills. He also explained that it will take some time for a single pilot to bring down a Titan all by himself or herself. The new mechanic will encourage players to conduct teamwork so that the obtained battery can also be given to another Titan which he or she can use to heal or power up.
Studio head Vince Zampella also emphasized that the new mechanic will be able to bring friendship among players by trying to work together, it will also require players to give among each other. More details are expected to be revealed in the coming days. "Titanfall 2" is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming E3 event this June.
