There is a new trend in the mobile phone industry where smartphone manufacturers are designing their smartphones with a bendable structure. It is not just the screen but including the whole body of the phone. Samsung, LG, Lenovo and a new Chinese company called Moxi Group are the known big players in the competition of bendable smartphones.

According to Independent, this year, Moxi Group is going to be the very first company to launch a phone that can bend almost 360 degrees which makes it possible for the user to wear it like a bracelet. Though this technology of bending screens is not new for many smartphone manufacturers, Moxi Group is still going to be the first to release a phone that has a multi-segmented body. The only catch about this phone is it will have black and white display.

For the South Korean tech giant which is Samsung, they plan to release a bendable smartphone on 2017. As previously reported by Yibada, Samsung will have a smartphone design where the screen can be fully folded like a cosmetic product. According to the spreading rumors about this device, it will sport a 5 inches colored screen and stretches to 8 inches when unfurled.

Lenovo is also on the same track with their competitors. The recently announced CPlus is also a smartphone with a segmented body that can bend and can be worn like a wrist watch. This device has a 4.26 inches colored screen. Cnet claimed that three of their editors have tried to wear the larger model of Cplus bendable phone on their wrist. They said it is way too large for smaller people. Lenovo still has this as a concept phone but it will soon be released in the market.

LG is also a known manufacturer of smartphones with bendable displays. They were the first one to release a phone with a bended screen called LG G Flex. This was followed by a second version which is the LG G Flex 2. According to PhoneSSpot, it has been rumored that LG is going to release the third version later this year. The rumored device which is called LG G Flex 3 is going to be different. Compared to those bendable phones previously mentioned, this phone can't be folded totally. It only sports a flexible 5.5 inch display.

The user ratings and reviews of these devices are still to be known in the future. For now, the tech community should stay tuned for the upcoming updates.
