Sony has unveiled the new Detroit: Become Human trailer from Quantic Dream and it shows how the player will be able to make complex choices in game for different outcomes.

The trailer shows a negotiator Android named Connor instead of Kara who was revealed last year. Detroit: Become Human would let players decide how the story goes in the video game.

In terms of gameplay, the title is highly reminiscent of Quantic Dream's earlier games such as Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls. There is also a slight touch of L.A. Noire because of all the investigation and complex choices that the player has to make.

David Cage said that Connor will just be one of the many playable Android characters in the Detroit: Become Human game, Polygon has learned. Players could be able to switch between the characters of the game to fit various scenarios and gain or lose advantages.

Sony also said that the characters in the game can also die permanently just like in the Heavy Rain title. Players will have to be extra careful with their choices in order to keep all of them alive by the end of the game.

Kara will still be present in Detroit: Become Human and she could still be focused on figuring out the true meaning of freedom as an Android, The Verge reported. The developers also said that one action of one character can severely impact the other characters which can suffer consequences.

Sony is also boasting the new engine that is used in the video game. The company said that the new engine has physically-based shaders, physical cameras, dynamic lighting and more.

With the technological prowess that Sony is exhibiting with the game, Detroit: Become Human could also be one of the largest PlayStation NEO titles next to the new God of War. However, Sony will have to confirm the details in a later date.

Quantic Dream is tackling how players would handle the emotions of the Android and human characters around them. It seems ironic that a machine will have to deal with emotions.

Detroit: Become Human has no release date yet but seeing as it has been in development for more than a year, it could be nearing its release soon. The PlayStation NEO could also be one of the supported consoles.
