Samsung is partnering with Electronic Arts (EA) to unveil its new curved gaming monitors at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) that starts on June 14, Tuesday. It is now taking on the gaming monitors of industry leaders including Acer, Asus, and Dell. EA's booth is next door to the Los Angeles Convention Center where its exhibition areas are showcasing and demoing future titles including Battlefield 1, FIFA, Madden, NHL 17, and Titanfall 2 on Samsung monitors.

The Korean conglomerate first introduced the monitors at CES 2016 in January. In a statement it shared that the curved monitors are supported by AMD FreeSync technology over High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI).

Samsung's monitors sync screen refresh rates with AMD graphics card frame rates to help decrease input latency (response time) and lag.

The deal benefits both companies. EA gets a company to provide hardware to show off its brand new titles, while Samsung can advertise its new curved monitors as consumers try out future games.

Samsung and EA are also offering a bundle deal for the next three months. It will include one free game with the purchase of a Samsung curved gaming monitor. It should be noted that the deal includes older games such as the 2015 titles Battlefield Hardline and FIFA 16, according to The Verge.

Seog-gi Kim is Samsung's senior VP for displays.  He said that the company is excited about improving future displays to meet the most important visual and performance needs of gamers.

Kim stated that gamers want high-end displays that provide clear and realistic experiences to the PCs. This is happening as the multi-billion dollar gaming market continues to change and improve.

In related news, Asus is reportedly working on a 4K gaming monitor that features a 144Hz refresh rate, according to Hexus. This follows the Asus ROG Swift PG279Q that was released last year.

Asus' new monitor is a prototype and was shown off at the recent Computex 2016 event. The China-based company defines the new 4K ultra-high definition (UHD) display as a gaming monitor.

Another key feature of the monitor is its ergonomic stand, which improves players' gaming experience. It includes tilt, swivel, and height adjustment.
