Virtual reality (VR) enthusiasts who have HTC Vive should be excited since the post-apocalyptic game "Fallout 4" will soon make its premiere on the VR headset. Gamers will soon have a chance to explore the wastelands in the post-nuke Boston on their HTC Vive. Furthermore, the VR headset will gain from another renowned title, "Doom," which is set to receive a VR transformation.

Bethesda Softworks unveiled on Sunday, June 12 during its E3 press conference that the two famous titles would make their VR premiere, according to Bethesda official website. The company's vice president, Pete Hines, announced that "Fallout 4" would make its way to the HTC Vive in 2017, with "Doom" to follow later.

However, it was unclear whether "Doom" would also launch for VR in 2017. Similarly, it is uncertain if the VR version of "Doom" would release as a full game, or just what the company said - "a virtual tour of Hell," according to the Verge.

The exciting news was also confirmed via Bethesda's official Twitter account. Most importantly, the game developer has also announced a trio of new expansions packs for "Fallout 4." It remains to be seen whether the three DLCs - "Vault-Tec Workshop," "Contraptions Workshop," and "Nuka World" - will as well debut in VR form to the HTC Vive.

It will be a challenge for Bethesda to adapt "Fallout 4" to a VR format for the HTC Vive, but it appears as if the company is up for the task. The game developer needs to tweak the conversation interface for "Fallout 4" and the way HTC Vive's motion controllers can be utilized in the game will also need redesigning. In addition, how the game developer will counter motion sickness problems on virtual reality, which can happen when a player travels a long distance quickly, is still judicious.

"Doom" and "Fallout 4" for VR seems unrealistic, and whether they will be HTC Vive exclusive or they will later make their way to oculus Rift and the Samsung Gear VR, remains unknown. However, the idea of gamers experiencing the two games in VR is somehow exciting. Here is footage for further details:
