New details for "Resident Evil 7" will feature a release date of the sequel in all gaming platforms and the character and setting from the demo will not be added to the finished game.

The teaser trailer features a dark, creepy and tense atmosphere as the video shows dark corridors, grizzly murders, and sightings of "ghost". "Resident Evil 7" takes place in modern day rural America after the horrific events of "Resident Evil 6" and what makes the new instalment interesting is that gamers can control the character in a first person point of view and it will have virtual reality gameplay.

The feel of "Resident Evil 7" could be compared to that of P.T. aka "Silent Hills" as Capcom stated that the game will return to its "original horror roots" as opposed to the more action-oriented gameplay style from previois "Resident Evil" titles. In addition, Capcom has released a demo game of "Resident Evil 7" called the "Beginning Hour" for PS4 users for free giving a taste on what to expect within the game.

The demo will feature a unnamed character exploring an abandoned house as he searches for clues inside and discover what secrets lies within. As the players explore futher the house, they will soon discover that they are other people who have entered the house before them and are also killed by an unknown force.

The demo gives a taste of the possible gameplay style of "Resident Evil 7", however, Capcom revealed new details earlier that character and setting in the demo will not be featured in the finished game, but rather a standalone experience ment to set up events for the actually game, VG 24/7 reported.

Capcom added that "Resident Evil 7" will not only be available for the PS4 console, but also in the Xbox One and the PC platforms. The game will be developed using the latest game engine from Capcom called "RE Engine", which made its debut in last year's E3 event, Polygon reported.

So far, Capcom did not reveal any further details regarding its combat gameplay mechanics and old and new characters added into "Resident Evil 7" and will likely reveal more very soon.

"Resident Evil 7" will launch on Jan. 14, 2017 for the PS4, PS VR, Xbox One and PC platforms.
