With summer almost nearing, gamers will be delighted to know that discounts will be offered to video game enthusiasts on various game titles available on Steam. Although Valve's digital distribution platform Steam will have its Summer Sale, no official confirmation yet coming from the company on when will it happen; however, rumors has it that Steam Summer Sale may run for 11 days.
According to a tweet posted by PayPal's UK Twitter account, it was revealed that Valve's annual Steam Summer Sale will kick off on June 23. Aside from the twitter post, IGN revealed that an email from PayPal was sent out, which states "Brace yourself. We can exclusively reveal that the Steam summer sale will go live on 23rd June. Now you know when it's going to happen, you can get ready for the savings."
According to the same publication, this is not the first time that PayPal leaked details on Valve's upcoming Steam Sale, as the company, known for operating a worldwide online payment system, has leaked Steam's autumn and winter sales in the past.
The recent tweet posted by PayPal UK does not include any end date, but based on the previous Steam sales, this year's Steam Summer Sale may last for a week or more than a week. In terms of what Steam Summer Sale may offer to gamers, not much has been known; however, it is speculated that Valve may offer a special markdown on anything that is related to Independence Day.
In addition to special discounts, Steam Summer Sale 2016 will still feature Flash Sales and Daily Deals, Neurogadget reported. It is said that during Steam sales, big discounts are already given, but with Valve's Daily Deals and Flash Sales offering, prices will be cut even further. Nevertheless, Steam Summer Sale 2016 will be the perfect opportunity for gamers to get great deals on PC games.
Meanwhile, prior PayPal leaked details about Steam Summer Sale 2016, a Reddit user already posted an image over a month ago, which is believed to be Steam Summer Sale 2016's planned date. According to the leaked photo via Reddit, it says that Steam Summer Sale will start on June 23 at 9:45 a.m. PT and will end on July 4 at 10 a.m. PT.
The Reddit user who leaked details about Steam Summer Sale 2016 has a proven track record, which is why gamers would need to brace themselves as the Summer Sale is just 6 days away.
