With just two episodes left in the HBO's fantasy epic, the 'Game of Thrones' fans are eager to know about the fate of their favorite characters on the show. More specifically, the fans are looking forward to witness the drama in "Battle of the Bastards," the series' penultimate episode.

In fact, "Battle of the Bastards," is one of the most anticipated episodes in the history of the "Game of Thrones." The thought is furthered strengthened by the statements that the series' stars have been specifically giving prior to the airing date.

Recently, actor Liam Cunningham, who plays the role of Ser Davos Seaworth, told The Hollywood Reporter that the fans would not be left disappointed by Jon Snow's epic face down with Ramsay Bolton in the "Battle of the Bastards." Cunningham further described the show as "jaw-dropping."

"HBO threw everything including the kitchen sink at it. It's one of the most expensive episodes of television ever made," Cunningham told the publication. "We spent roughly a month just doing this particular battle. It's absolutely extraordinary, to be honest with you."

Cunningham, who has been a part of the show for a long time, compared the upcoming episode with the episode "Blackwater" of season two. Having seen "Blackwater," Cunningham said that he is desperately waiting to see what the show creators have decided to do with the "Battle of the Bastards," which is speculated to become the most talked-about show in the history of the series.

The 55-year-old actor further praised Kit Harrington for his exquisite acting skills and the way he performed the stunts for the episodes. According to Cunningham, the Jon Snow of the "Game of Thrones" is blooming as an actor, for which he deserves all the praise and admiration.

The "Clash of the Titans" star did not give away many clues about the episode. Talking about his character Davos on the show, Cunningham hinted that June 19, Sunday's episode might see his culmination.

For "Battle of the Bastards," 500 extras and 70 horses were hired for the armies, according to Entertainment Weekly. While the numbers may seem minimal, the extras and hoses will be seen in thousands of number in the upcoming episode, thanks to the technology used by the team.
