Going by the dimensions of both phones, the Redmi 3s is slightly smaller in size than the 3x version, with the former measuring 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5mm and the latter sized at 139.7 x 69.7 x 8.5mm. As far as weight is concerned, the Redmi 3s is slightly lighter at 144 grams than the 3x, which weighs 146 grams.

There is even a slight difference in battery capacity of both phones, as the 2GB variant of Redmi 3s is fuelled by a 4,000mAh battery, the 2GB Redmi 3x has a 4,100mAh battery. There is also a notable difference in price in both the handsets.

The 2GB RAM Redmi 3S variant is packed with 16GB native storage space and is offered at a price of CNY 699 (approx. US$106), whereas the 3GB RAM Redmi 3S variant features 32GB storage space and is priced at CNY 899 (approx. US$137). On the other hand, the Redmi 3x is pegged for 899 Yuan (approx. US$137).

Unlike the Redmi 3s, the 3x version will be exclusive to Chinese mobile carrier, China Unicom. The smartphone will have to compete with other smartphones from the likes of Gionee PSL, Aqua Shine 4G, Lava V2s, according to BGR
