"Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 finale airs June 26, Sunday. Episode 10 is titled "The Winds of Winter" and it is expected to feature some intriguing twists in the storyline and unexpected shockers. The title of the "Game of Thrones" (GOT) Season 6 episode 10 is also the name of author George R.R. Martin's sixth book in the series "A Song of Fire and Ice." The show's storyline follows the book's plot with some deviation. However, it is hard to predict what happens in the finale since the book is yet to be released.
In the meantime, HBO has released a cryptic synopsis for "The Winds of Winter." The brief description for "Game of Thrones" Season 6 episode 10 suggests Cersei's trial will take place in the finale. She will have to prove her innocence when she is questioned by the High Sparrows.
"Season Finale. Cersei faces her trial," reads the synopsis.
While the network does not give away much, the finale is expected to focus on Cersei and reveal Qyburn and Cersei's secret plan that they talked about in episode 8. Meanwhile, theories suggest Cersei is in search of Wildfire and may use it to destroy King's Landing.
News publication Independent UK is speculating that Cersei's trial will only play "second fiddle" to a more prominent storyline involving Bran, The White Walkers and the Tower of Joy in "Game of Thrones" Season 6 finale. Episode 10 will be the longest episode of the series with 69-minute runtime.
Note: A promo video for "Game of Thrones" (GOT) episode 6X08 is yet to be released. It is expected to be out after the broadcast of episode 7 "Battle of the Bastards" on June 19. It will be made available here. So, stay tuned.
In addition, the show is expected to feature the aftermath of the battle between Jon Snow and Ramsay Bolton. At the same time, it may feature Arya's return to Westeros and her new mission.
