After "Mortal Kombat" co-creator Ed Boon announced on his Twitter account that he would love to see a crossover of MK and KI, fans went wild online thinking that the message posted via social media is already a confirmation of an upcoming game. However, there is no authenticity on the rumors circulating the web that such crossover will be released soon. Expectant gamers should understand that the off-hand message is not a sort of confirmation coming from the game developers and their creators, according to GameRant.

The explicit excitement and anticipation of most gamers concerning the rumored crossover is a natural reaction, especially because many of them has been waiting for such event to take place ever since "MK and KI" introduced gory battle scenes and excellent fighting combos. Both games earned the title of being the bloodiest and most brutal fight game to date. Thus, an increasing urge for a crossover coming from loyal fan base and gaming enthusiast are comprehendible.

Apart from the lack of official confirmation, GameRant also detailed that Ed Boon will be busy finishing production on Injustice 2, thus giving less space and focus for the highly anticipated "Mortal Kombat vs. "Killer Instinct" or any sort of crossover. Mrgamer511 on YouTube also mentioned, that even though Ken Lobb and Ed Boon has been exchanging thoughts about the said crossing, it might also be possible that both creators are merely trolling fans. But still the potential of the game's crossover is beyond compare to be ignored.

The idea of a crossover between the two iconic games is indeed an intriguing idea, according to Attack of the Fanboy. We have seen various crossovers before that some gamers thought would never happen. Guess we would just have to wait and see if the bloodiest and most brutal crossover will occur. And whether game developers will give their loyal fans opportunity to explore the distinct worlds of "MK and K"I in one unique setting.
