Black presence in the new arc will not only be noticed by Son Goku, but also with the Gods of Destruction Beerus and Champa, and even the Omni-King himself Zeno. While the new arc gives anime fans something exciting that Son Goku will fight an evil and probably more powerful version of himself, several fans believed that another character from the anime should fight Black besides Son Goku.

One of these characters that should fight Black is Goku's first born son Son Gohan and one of these reason is that having Goku fight Black and saving the world will be very much predictable to the viewers. Gohan in the "Dragon Ball Super" anime was highly under utilized and the character was not handled properly ever since the "Cell" saga from "Dragon Ball Z".

Another reason is that Gohan having to fight a villain who looks like his father could have a very interesting plot twist in the arc, giving more emphasis of Black's personality if he has any empathy whatsoever, while Gohan on the otherhand, must deal with the fact that he has to fight Black even if it is another version of Goku, which likely results to an epic clash.

Lastly, fans want to see the Gohan they all know and love as a powerful warrior with untapped. Gohan was not able to train properly due to his studies, work and raising a family of his own, but after the events of "Ressurection of F" Gohan asked Piccolo to train him again, thus giving fans hope that the old Gohan will return and be more powerful than before, Design & Trend reported.

In other news, a new character is introduced in "Dragon Ball Super" and his role in the series has something to do with Black and Future Trunks.

It was during the latest issue of V-Jump magazine that readers saw a new Kai named God King Zamasu and it is theorized that he has connections with Black, possibly the one pulling the strings in "Future Trunks" saga as he wears a Potara ring similar to Black, Attack of the Fanboy reported.

It was theorized before that Black's true identity is that of the Demon Demigra from the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" game who has somehow possessed the body of Son Goku from Future Trunks' timeline.

Lastly, Episode 49 trailer will feature the first meeting between Son Goku and Black as the villain was able to travel to Future Trunks' location in the past and he meet Son Goku along with Vegeta. The teaser also sees a small fight between Goku and Future Trunks as he mistakes the latter as Black.

"Dragon Ball Super" returns next week on Fuji TV.
