Samsung recently unveiled the new Notebook 7 Spin that is essentially a laptop that can be folded all the way to the other side to be used as a tablet as well.

There are two variants of the Samsung Notebook 7 Spin that will be available. One is with the 13.3-inch screen and the other is a 15.6-inch display for those who want extra screen estate.

Both of the variants will have a pixel resolution of 1920 x 1080 which would result in an average pixel density. Disappointingly, the touchscreens are powered by LCD and not Samsung's famous and power efficient OLED panels.

The smaller Samsung Notebook 7 Spin has an Intel Core i5 processor with integrated graphics and 8GB RAM, The Verge has learned. The larger variant will be powered by an i7 with an NVIDIA 940 MX graphics card and available with up to 16GB of RAM.

Another incentive that would make consumers choose the larger variant over the smaller one is the additional 128GB SSD compared to just the 1TB mechanical HDD. It would certainly make boot times faster and load applications almost instantly.

Besides the 360-degree span of the screen's rotation, the new convertible laptop also has other gimmicks. The Samsung Notebook 7 Spin supports fast charging as a 100 percent charge can only take 90 minutes on the larger model, Engadget reported. The smaller version would take 100 minutes for a 100 percent battery charge.

All of the variants will support two USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 ports. They will also have one HDMI and one USB-C port for more outputs. The larger model only has the Ethernet cable so the 13.3-inch model will have to rely on a wireless connection.

Another Notebook 7 Spin feature is Samsung's Video HDR mode which is claimed to make the screen sharper and provide more vivid colors overall. It could just be automatic color calibration instead of an actual screen technology.

Samsung will be selling the Notebook 7 Spin on their official website and at Best Buy with a starting price for $799.99 on the smaller variant. Buyers will be able to purchase the convertible laptop starting on June 26.
