There appears to be no surprises for Saturday night’s fan meet of “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki in Taiwan as Blossom Entertainment has clearly stated Song Hye Kyo would not be his special guest.
Even one entertainment number has been revealed in the 30-year-old actor’s Friday press conference. The Hallyu star shared that he will sing "A Little Happiness" at the fan meet, reported Focustaiwan.
It is the theme song of a popular Taiwanese romance movie, “Our Times.” The movie is about Truly, an ordinary Chinese girl who has a crush on the most popular guy in their school, and Taiyu, a bully who is in love with the prettiest student in campus. Truly and Taiyu agree to break the couple so they could be in a relationship with their crushes. They failed in their plan, fall in love, split, meet again after 18 years and also encounter their old crushes.
The move was a big hit in Taiwan in 2015 and was shown also in South Korea in May that year. Song Joong-ki said that he saw “Our Times” twice and really liked the film.
Speaking at the press conference in Mandarin Chinese, Song Joong-ki advised them not to have very high expectations of his singing prowess although he has been working very hard to perfect the song.
The only possible surprise in the fan meet, to be held at the National Taiwan University Sports Center which has a capacity of 4,200, is who will be Song Joong-ki’s special guest. Unconfirmed reports said it would be Park Bo Gum. Will Song Joong-ki repeat what he did in Hong Kong when his special guest was Lee Kwang Soo? Will it be another bromance teaser with his Domino’s Pizza co-endorser?
Prior to the fan meet, Song Joong-ki came out in the cover of the June issues of Harper’s Bazaar and Color magazine, Taiwan edition.
